**The opportunity**

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Manager Project Management to join our team. In this role you need to have general business knowledge to planning, organizing, and controlling resources, procedures, and timing for an administrative or business process including organizing project teams, assigning individual responsibilities, developing project schedules, and determining resource requirements. Monitoring and reporting on the status of projects including cost, timing, and staffing. Ensuring adherence to internal and external quality standards. Identifying/resolving obstacles to completing projects on time and to budget. May include work managing multiple, interrelated projects (including business transformation projects). On some projects, the work may include integrating vendor tasks into the project plan and tracking and reviewing vendor deliverables.

**How you’ll make an impact**
- Ensuring local or regional management of all project execution activities in responsibility.
- Ensuring operations are executed in accordance with company procedures, contract specifications, quality standards, health, safety & environmental requirements, financial targets, and schedule commitments.
- Leading implementation of continuous improvements for the project execution strategy for the local or regional project operation under the guidance of the Global Project Operations Manager.
- Ensuring that the regional/ local portfolio of projects is managed consistently, based on best practices and Hitachi Energy Policies.
- Leading and overseeing the project execution teams locally/regionally, ensuring that Hitachi Energy
- Policies are consistently followed. Develops, customizes and continuously improves standard processes and work instructions by adopting Hitachi Energy and external best practices.
- Ensuring that lessons learned from project execution are analyzed and conclusions are incorporated in continuous improvement actions.
- Participating in the budgeting process, jointly with Local Division/Business Unit Manager and Controller.
- Participating in Sales and Operations planning with other members of the Local Division/Business Unit/Product Group management team and takes actions to close potential gaps in project execution capacity.
- Supervising project execution and performance management through project reviews with management and Project Managers to ensure contract fulfilment and approve any project deviations.
- Taking an active role in resolving escalated issues, especially those raised by the customer.
- Ensuring the portfolio of projects follows good methodology and execution practices in accordance with internal standard procedures, and projects are closed as per contracts entered with customers.
- Stakeholder relations building and maintaining relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Serves as an escalation point for individual and systemic project management issues within the project execution team.
- Validating and supporting that adequate HSE measures are taken in the respective project operations functions and that an HSE culture is implemented and maintained in the organization.
- Ensuring that the area of responsibility is structured to fit the business model, sufficiently staffed with skilled resources and directed appropriately. Guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect reports within HR policies.
- Overseeing competency assessments and ensure that project staff is licensed and certified appropriately. Leads and coaches the project execution team to achieve business objectives, i.e. to drive efficiency and effectiveness, improve cash flow, revenue and profitability.

**Your background**
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- More than 3 years of experience managing team of project managers/ or operations management
- Minimum 5 years of experience in project management
- A total of 15 years of work experience is required.
- Proficiency in both spoken & written English is required.
