Hvac & Fire Fighting Engineer

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

HVAC and Firefighting Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that the project is executed in line with the Jotun engineering standards, local and international applicable codes and standards. The Engineer shall carry out day-to-day inspections, verifications and give feedback / update to the consultant and Jotun Project Manager. Ensure the MEP (Mechanical, Electrical and Plumping) works are coordinated and executed as per quality standards and on approved schedule. Special focus on HVAC (Heating Ventilation and air Conditioning) and FAFF (Fire Alarm and Fire Fighting) part of the project.

This position is based at Yanbu and reports to the Project Manager.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in the design, planning process in close cooperation with internal / external stakeholders, as instructed by the Project Manager.- Ensure the design and execution of HVAC and FF are in compliance with Jotun engineering standards.- Consult and align with Group technical discipline leads of HVAC and FF, where appropriate.- Assist in evaluating optimal solutions for HVAC and FF system.- Participate in design review meetings together with project team, consultants and Jotun Group Technical- Coordinate with contractors and consultants to ensure smooth execution of the project.- Ensure all the HVAC and FF materials are approved based on Jotun standard make and supplier lists. Discrepancies shall be highlighted to Jotun Project Manager immediately.- Follow up and report to the Project Manager on agreed KPI’s.- Coordinate with third-party service providers and equipment suppliers to ensure that all necessary materials are acquired in a timely manner.- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company standards.- Adhere to Jotun HSE policies and procedures.

We are looking for:
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering.- 4-5 years of relevant experience. Paint / Chemical factory project.- Knowledge of HVAC / FF system installation in hazardous zones.- Experience with AutoCAD/BIM, Microsoft Project is preferable.- Fluency in English - both verbally and written.
