Quality Inspector

**RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILTY & AUTHORITY**:
**Primary**:

- Inspect first off and do first article inspections
- Batch inspection before outsourcing
- Inspect inward goods including OP/OS, etc. to the relevant drawings and PO requirements
- Raise NCRs for both in house products, supplier products in JDE and shipping NCRs for the intercompany orders.
- Inspects finished parts and document inspection
- Pass parts off using JDE.
- Train machinists on the purpose of the profile projector of inspecting thread profiles and other dimensions.
- Train machinists on the use of the MIC TRACK for setting thread rolls for inspecting thread functional roll dimensions.
- Inspection of NCR parts for assembly and suggest rework
- Assembly parts inspection before beginning assembly.
- Buyout parts certificates review and review.
- Carry out MPI, PT and UT as per the requirements shown in QA plans.
- Filing all quality Records in proper sequence.
- Comply with NOV HSEQ Policy and Safety Procedures to avoid incidents and accidents.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area.
- Maintain records for all completed WOs, POs, PRs on OnBase
- Phosphate unit titration and control phosphate process as per specification requirements
- Review and control shot peening process as per specification requirements.

**Secondary**:

- Calibration and control of Gauges/Instruments records.
- Review Material test certificates with respect to the PO and Drawing requirements.
- Raw material MTC review of the inventory parts.
- Provide Customer documentation as per request Update procedures and specs when required.

**Qualifications**:

- Engineering Diploma in related field with 2-4 years of Experience
- NDT Level II in LPT and MPI
- Quality control and quality assurance experience in Oil & Gas manufacturing environment

- Strong negotiation skills;
- Ability to adapt work processes to demand requirements;
- Proficient in English speaking and writing
- Microsoft Office Knowledge
- Carry out all duties in accordance with Quality Assurance procedures and department instructions.
- Contribute to general improvement in the quality and key activities of the department
- Become familiar and participate in Internal, API and other 3rd Party Audits
- Participate in training where required
- Become familiar and comply with all company Health, Safety and Environmental policies
