**JOB PURPOSE**
BAE Systems is the UK Government’s nominated Prime Contractor under the Government-to-Government arrangements that are in place to provide equipment, support and training to Saudi Arabia. We provide maintenance of Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) aircraft and train RSAF and Royal Saudi Naval Force personnel safely in a training environment in how to use their aircraft, equipment and weapons.

This role is responsible to the Typhoon Operations Manager, for the development and promulgation of the short, medium and long term flying programmes to meet the RSAF flying requirements and the company’s contracted targets. Act as the key interface between the 3rd 10th and 80th Squadron Commanders (Sqn Cmdr’s), and the associated aircrew. Liaising with the Maintenance Operational Flight (MOF) to ensure the required assets are available to meet the demands of the customer. Ensure that continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities on Typhoon aircraft are carried out in accordance with BAE Systems Saudi Arabia SALAM Flying Operations Exposition (FOE) and associated Quality Management System. To compile all relevant Flying statistics, including the Service Performance, and its dissemination to all key stakeholders, both RSAF and Company

**JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES**

- Ensuring that all continuing airworthiness and maintenance activities conducted within their Area of Responsibility are carried out in accordance with current processes and procedures by appropriately authorised, qualified and experienced personnel.
- Ensuring that all personnel engaged in activities in their Area of Responsibility follow the correct practices and observe safety precautions thereby complying with the requirements and limitations detailed in the Salam Support Safety Case Report and that as far as is reasonably practicable ensuring that no one is exposed to any unnecessary or uncontrolled risk.
- Ensure that the Safety Management Systems and Safety Occurrence Reporting Tool (SORT) are understood by staff under your direction.
- Managing the needs and expectations of the Sqn’s pilots, including the Sqn Cmdr, on a daily basis. Thus ensuring they are always aware of Fleet Management issues, Aircraft Mission Capability implications and Forward Maintenance restrictions that may otherwise adversely affect the flying programme or company contracted targets.
- Responsible for the preparation and dissemination of the medium and long term flying programme
- Responsible for ensuring that all planning and forward forecasting data is released to all Key Stakeholders in the operational environment at Taif.
- Production of the monthly and yearly flying projections and programmes that meet all the contractual targets set by the Typhoon Operations Manager and agreed with by the RSAF Squadron Commanders.
- Production of the monthly programming ‘skin’ for ratification by RSAF Squadron Commanders and issued to the Air Operations Support Staff to be further developed into the weekly and daily flying programmes.
- Responsible for disseminating the monthly plans to all Key Stakeholder on the Project.
- Responsible for Typhoon performance metrication and statistics including but not limited to the following: Typhoon Fleet status, Forward Available fleet (FAF), Profiled Flying Hours, Trained RSAF Aircrew, Ground Aborts due to Technical Failure, and Aircraft on Ground (AOG) due to aircraft being unserviceable and Satisfaction Rate_._
- Responsible for compiling, maintaining and monitoring the Typhoon Service Performance data. Ensuring accuracy of the end of month performance data before requesting RSAF Sqn Cmdr sign off and delivery into headquarters.
- Ensure that All Key Stakeholders are immediately informed of any changes to the agreed flying programme.

- Must have extensive Flying Operations and Mission Support knowledge (extensive experience in a Squadron Operations support role), including an understanding of mission planning support, Flying programme maintenance and debriefing support.
- Proven management and leadership ability in a high-tempo operational support position.
- Must have extensive aerospace and Defence Company / industry knowledge, managing significant and diverse projects to time, cost and quality.
