Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented **Principal Engineer - Electrical (Telecom) **to join our team at Yanbu City on the West Coast of Saudi Arabia In this role you will get to p rovide professional support to the program projects with emphasis on promoting and maintaining the technical adequacy, uniformity, and quality of the project designs in conformance with approved standards and codes.

**What You'll Be Doing**:
Member of the Technical Support Services Electrical Engineering Department professional staff. Reports to the Supervising Electrical Engineer.

**Activities / Duties**:

- Provides electrical and electronic systems design engineering support including LV distribution, small power and lighting, building services and management systems, life safety systems, SCADA, telecommunication, CCTV, audio, security and access control systems.
- Functions as a technical expert in performing analysis in Low Current Electronic Systems.
- Reviews and analyzes technical problems and recommends appropriate solutions, alternatives, and improvements.
- Conducts reviews on technical provisions of work and prepares technical reports.
- Interfaces and coordinates with other stakeholders to resolve conflicts.
- Prepares Requests for Proposal (RFP) documents with design concepts.
- Reviews design drawings, specifications, and calculation submittals and coordinates with the work of other disciplines.
- Review’s vendor and shop drawings, and construction materials and/or equipment submittals for low current systems.
- Prepares construction cost estimates for ELV systems.

**Qualifications / Experience / Credentials**:

- A Degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 12 years postgraduate professional experience and a minimum of 10 years experience in a design role.
- Previous experience of working in the Middle East and knowledge of Saudi Building Code (SBC Codes) regulations will be considered an advantage.
- Registration in Country of Origin in an Engineering Professional Association.
- A proven record of technical and administrative ability in design management including the ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is essential.
- Thorough knowledge of National Electrical Code, IEEE, EIA/TIA, ANSI and IEC standards.
- Ability to provide Low Current Electronic System diagrams, specifications, details and physical layout of equipment and devices is required.
- Experience in the design of fiber optic networks, data communications and telecommunications networks
- Perform engineering analysis of design submittals including calculations, power system studies, drawings, MTO, vendor material specifications, and construction shop drawings.
