**Job Title**: Environmental Manager

**Department**: Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
**Reporting To**: Head of HSE / Project Director

**Job Purpose**:
The Environmental Manager is responsible for managing and overseeing all environmental aspects of company operations and projects. The role ensures compliance with local environmental regulations, international standards, and company policies, while promoting sustainable practices and minimizing environmental impact.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop, implement, and maintain environmental management systems (EMS) in line with ISO 14001 and company policies.
- Ensure compliance with environmental laws, regulations, permits, and client requirements.
- Conduct environmental impact assessments, audits, and inspections at project sites.
- Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste management, emissions, and resource usage.
- Develop and implement environmental policies, procedures, and programs to promote sustainability.
- Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and clients to ensure environmentally responsible operations.
- Lead environmental awareness and training programs for staff and contractors.
- Investigate environmental incidents, non-compliance, or near-misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Maintain records of environmental reports, permits, and documentation for regulatory and audit purposes.
- Liaise with government authorities, regulatory agencies, and clients on environmental matters.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives in environmental management and sustainability practices.

**Qualifications & Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in environmental management, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of local environmental regulations, international standards, and best practices.
- Experience in construction, oil & gas, or industrial projects is preferred.
- Professional certifications such as ISO 14001 Lead Auditor or equivalent are an advantage.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and environmental management software.
- Ability to work under pressure and coordinate across multiple teams.
