**Monitoring Analyst (Associate)**:

**Job Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Monitoring & Analysis**:
- Utilize monitoring tools to detect potential system issues, vulnerabilities, and performance degradation.
- **Issue Detection & Resolution**:
- Proactively identify, analyze, and escalate any performance, security, or infrastructure issues that may impact service availability.
- Investigate and troubleshoot critical incidents, ensuring timely resolution to minimize service disruption.
- **Network Security**:
- Monitor network activity for security threats, vulnerabilities, and breaches.
- Collaborate with network and security teams to analyze and address security incidents.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:
- Work closely with other IT teams, including system administrators, network engineers, and security personnel, to ensure swift problem resolution.
- Provide regular status reports to stakeholders, outlining the health of the systems, infrastructure, and network.
- **Documentation & Reporting**:
- Document all detected issues, actions taken, and resolutions provided.
- Update monitoring logs and contribute to the development of process documentation to improve efficiency and knowledge sharing.

**Skills & Qualifications**:

- **Monitoring Tools**: Hands-on experience with IT monitoring platforms (e.g., Nagios, SolarWinds, Splunk, etc.).
- **Networking Knowledge**: Understanding of networking concepts, protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, etc.), and performance monitoring.
- **Network Security**: Basic knowledge of network security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS).
- **Troubleshooting**: Strong analytical skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex IT issues.
- **Communication**: Effective communication skills to clearly escalate issues to the appropriate teams and provide status updates to stakeholders.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certification in Networking (e.g., CompTIA Network+), Security (e.g., CompTIA Security+), or related fields.
- Prior experience in a network operations or monitoring role.
- Knowledge of ITIL or similar frameworks is a plus.
