Maintenance Technician

ChampionX has an immediate need for a Maintenance Technician based in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for the maintenance of mechanics install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment. Their responsibilities also include building and maintaining mechanical systems and involve the use of a variety of hand and power tools.

What You Will Do:

- Follow safety policies to provide a safe workplace for all employees and supports the guiding principles of Goal Zero to continually improve the plant’s safety, health and environmental performance, security, design, development, manufacture, storage, marketing, distribution, use and ultimate safe disposal of chemical products. Drive culture of safety; Report safety observations / incidents
- Supports and is committed to the Quality Improvement Process. Plans strategies to ensure error-free work by “doing it right the first time” and conveys this attitude in the daily performance of various duties, in our drive continuous improvement.
- Assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment.
- Troubleshooting machinery and performing routine preventative maintenance.
- Reading, interpreting, and following instructions and operation manuals.
- Maintaining a schedule for inspecting, servicing, and testing machinery.
- Cleaning, repairing, and installing equipment and parts as needed.
- Operating a variety of hand and power tools.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Complying with health and safety regulations.
- Performing general maintenance work on buildings/ forklifts as assigned.
- Follow instruments calibration schedule and coordinate with 3rd party for pickup and delivery under plant engineer guidance.
- Maintain a spare parts inventory list as per actual.
- Record spare parts in/out list on daily basis
- Perform a daily equipment check and report any defects to plant engineer on daily basis.
- Aid in budget development and ensure it is followed.
- Any other duties commensurate with the grade and level of responsibility of this post, for which the post holder has the necessary experience and/or training.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

- Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
- 2 years diploma in maintenance mechanics.
- 2+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic or in a similar role.
- Knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools.
- Mechanical aptitude and ability.
- Good computer skills - Microsoft office
- Physical dexterity.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations.
- Fluency in English both verbal and written and Arabic language as well.
- Change Management strategy knowledge and experience in supporting transformational business programs.
- Strong and effective communication and leadership skills, demonstrating traits such as persuasiveness, negotiation skills, conflict management and resolution techniques.
- A flexible working approach with the ability to respond to ad-hoc and unexpected issues, effectively.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and ability to work with good judgement.
- Strong organization, sense of urgency, prioritization and multi-tasking skills.
