Recycle Operator

To effectively operate a production facility of RECYCLING PROCESS in a safe manner and in accordance with overall production requirements.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

Identify quality defects during process and inform Supervisor, if in doubt
Improve efficiency by following standard operating procedure.
Optimize cycle time and cost reduction.
Actively participates in team for preventive maintenance on machines.
Prepare the site for operational or maintenance work, including start-up, shut-down.
Minor trouble shooting, reporting malfunctions/status and handing over to ensure that a safe operation is maintained.
Prepare and submit daily machine production and efficiency report to supervisor.
Keep record of all defects and good parts produced in his shift.
Report and coordinate to Supervisor of any machine abnormalities.
Contribute in productivity and process enhancement.
Maintain proper housekeeping in his work area.
Follow employee standards by adhering to both environmental and Occupational Safety and Health regulations.
Sorting and Separating Materials
Sort recyclable materials: Identify and separate different types of recyclable materials such as paper, plastic, metal, glass, and organic waste to ensure they are processed correctly.
Inspect materials for contamination: Check materials for contaminants such as food waste, non-recyclable items, or hazardous materials and remove them from the recycling stream.
Ensure proper categorization: Place sorted materials in designated bins or containers according to their type and recycling processes.
Processing Recyclable Materials
Operate recycling machinery: Operate various types of machinery used in the recycling process, such as balers, shredders, crushers, and conveyors, to prepare materials for further processing or transportation.
Monitor equipment performance: Ensure that machinery is functioning properly, troubleshoot minor issues, and report equipment malfunctions to maintenance staff.
Perform routine maintenance: Conduct basic maintenance and cleaning of equipment to ensure smooth operations and prevent breakdowns.
Ensure safety standards: Follow proper safety procedures when handling machinery and materials to avoid accidents or injuries.

• Diploma degree.

•Minimum of 1 years' experience in the same field.
Knowledge & Skills Required:

Plant Operations.
Manufacturing Process.
Operational Safety.
Fluency in English language with excellent communication (written & oral) skills.
Knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
Quality Control
Maintain material quality: Ensure that sorted and processed materials meet quality standards for recycling and that contamination levels are kept to a minimum.
Monitor material flow: Keep track of the flow of materials through the recycling process to ensure efficiency and that all materials are processed in a timely manner.
Handle rejected materials: Manage and separate materials that cannot be recycled and direct them to the appropriate disposal method.
Material Handling and Transportation
Load and unload materials: Operate forklifts, cranes, or other vehicles to load and unload recyclable materials from trucks, bins, or containers.
Transport materials: Move recyclable materials to the appropriate area for processing, storage, or shipment to recycling facilities or other locations.
Prepare materials for shipment: Prepare bales or containers of processed materials for shipment to recycling centers or suppliers, ensuring that all materials are properly packed and labeled.
Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety
Keep work area clean: Maintain a clean and organized work area to reduce hazards, promote safety, and improve efficiency in the recycling process.
Follow safety guidelines: Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to ensure personal safety and the safety of others working in the recycling facility.
Handle hazardous materials safely: Ensure the proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials (e.g., batteries, electronic waste) that may be part of the recycling stream.
