Roles and responsibilities

JASARA PMC is excited to announce an opening for the role of Program Director. This pivotal position is integral to our mission of advancing infrastructure projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in alignment with Vision 2030. The Program Director will be responsible for overseeing the planning, , and delivery of large-scale programs, ensuring that they are completed to the highest standards of quality, within budget, and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of program strategies that align with corporate objectives and stakeholder expectations
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, coordinating with project managers to ensure effective and delivery
Establish and maintain relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders involved in program activities
Monitor program performance using appropriate metrics and report on progress to senior management
Identify potential risks and develop risk management plans to mitigate issues that may arise during program
Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams and facilitate their professional development
Foster a culture of high performance and continuous improvement within the team
Program Planning and Development
Strategic Alignment: Ensure that all programs align with the organization's goals, vision, and mission. This may involve setting long-term goals, developing new programs, and assessing opportunities for program expansion.
Program Design: Develop detailed plans and frameworks for new programs, including defining scope, objectives, timelines, and success metrics.
Resource Allocation: Ensure that the program has the necessary resources (personnel, budget, tools) to succeed. This includes organizing teams, setting priorities, and managing program budgets.
Leadership and Team Management
Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams working on the program. This includes hiring, training, and providing guidance to team members.
Staffing and Delegation: Oversee the recruitment of staff and delegate responsibilities within the program team. Ensure that all team members have the necessary skills to complete their tasks effectively.
Performance Management: Track the performance of team members and provide feedback and development opportunities. Set clear goals and evaluate team performance regularly.

Desired candidate profile

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred
Minimum of 12 years of experience in program management, particularly in large infrastructure projects
Strong track record of successful project delivery and demonstrated ability to manage cross-functional teams
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
Thorough understanding of project management principles and methodologies
Experience in the construction industry within Saudi Arabia or the GCC region is highly advantageous
Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to challenges and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Program Implementation and Oversight
Coordinate Program : Oversee the implementation of various projects within the program to ensure that they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications.
Monitor Progress: Regularly monitor the progress of the program, ensuring that milestones are met, and project timelines are adhered to. Identify and address potential risks or issues as they arise.
Risk Management: Identify risks to the program's success, develop mitigation plans, and ensure that any issues or obstacles are addressed promptly.
Stakeholder Management and Communication
Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, including clients, senior management, project teams, and external partners. Communicate program objectives, updates, and deliverables.
Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular reports to senior leadership and stakeholders on program progress, achievements, challenges, and financial status.
Client Communication: If the program involves external clients or customers, maintain strong relationships, ensuring that their expectations are met and that any issues are resolved promptly.
