Roles and responsibilities

The avionics technician is responsible for providing technical support services to help deliver operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that personal approvals/licenses are valid and applicable to aircraft types of avionics systems and components.
  • Ensure approvals are obtained within 3 months of completion of course.
  • Ensure that all work performed in connection with maintenance is in accordance with the requirements/recommendations of the manufacturers.
  • Ensure the approved methods, tooling, procedures and materials are used in carrying out the said work.
  • Ensure all work orders, inspection schedules, are properly completed & certified before issuing RTS.
  • Sign off maintenance tasks performed or supervised within the scope of own authorization, verifying that the task card and associated documents have been completed to the required standard following completion of all maintenance.
  • Ensure all off-aircraft tasks i.e. spares handling, robberies, hold items etc. are handled in compliance with company procedures.
  • Ensure AMOS and related documentation is updated.
  • Carry out component changes as necessary as part of trouble shooting process and/or as directed by supervisor.
  • Ensure proper tooling / equipment is drawn from stores to perform tasks, returning all of it in good condition following completion of work.
  • Report immediately to the supervisors when GSE & Company Vehicles are unserviceability.
  • Ensure that only approved materials and parts are used, and the approved spares have necessary documentation and certification before installation on the aircraft.
  • Act as tech rep at MRO facilities inside and outside Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to oversee flyadeal aircraft, supervise outsource maintenance work and assist in the acceptance/delivery process.
  • Manage the safety of assigned maintenance tasks, ensuring all published mandatory precautions are taken prior to commencing work and during task execution.
  • Ensure implementation of Safety Policy and safety management system within flyadeal M & E.
  • Present a positive and competent image of technical professionalism to other companies' personnel.
  • Report to MCC and supervisor whenever any defect is reported by flight crew/observed.
  • Readily available for deployment anywhere within the operation, to assist in recovery process of an AOG (Aircraft on Ground)
  • Attend training/recurrent modules as required to enhance skills and comply with GACA requirements.
Desired candidate profile

Valid GACA A & P/FAA or equivalent Aircraft Maintenance License.
A320 (CFM56/LEAP 1A) family type rating.
Diploma or bachelor's degree in any related field is a plus.
At least 3 years' experience certifying maintenance on the A320 aircraft.
At least 5 years' experience in a Line/Base aircraft Maintenance environment.
In depth of avionic systems of A320 family aircraft.
Detailed knowledge of aircraft technical documentation.
Detailed knowledge of regulations including GACAR Chapter 'C' Aircraft, EASA Part CAMO, Part 145, Part 21, FAA FAR Part 43 and Part 91.
Computer literate, and MS knowledge.
Problem solving, analytical and technical decision making.
Strong team player, highly collaborative and emotionally intelligent.
Highly self-motivated showing initiative in a changing environment.
Stress tolerance.
Report to MCC and supervisor whenever any defect is reported by flight crew/observed.
Readily available for deployment anywhere within the operation, to assist in recovery process of an AOG (Aircraft on Ground)
Attend training/recurrent modules as required to enhance skills and comply with GACA requirements.
