Visual Merchandiser

CONTEXT AND PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Giorgio Armani has recently established its Middle East operations, with its head office based in Dubai, UAE. The company transitioned from a wholesale model to a direct retail structure across Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Qatar. In this context, the Visual Merchandiser plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of the brand's visual identity, supporting commercial performance, and safeguarding the Armani image across all boutiques in the Kingdom.

The Visual Merchandiser acts as a Brand Ambassador, responsible for implementing global visual guidelines, enhancing product storytelling, and elevating the client experience through precise and sophisticated visual presentation. Beyond creative execution, the role requires strong alignment with commercial priorities, attention to detail, and operational discipline — leveraging product insights, sales trends, and store dynamics to support performance and contribute to the overall business growth.

Visual Merchandising Execution

• Implement all visual merchandising directives across assigned boutiques, ensuring consistent execution of Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani, and Armani Exchange guidelines.
• Prepare and execute window installations, mannequin styling, zoning layouts, and interior displays based on global guidelines and local adaptation needs.
• Ensure all VM elements—including props, lighting, fixtures, and signage—are presented to the highest standard and reflect brand identity.
• Support collection launches, capsule drops, seasonal animations, and redress activities, ensuring timely execution aligned with product deliveries and merchandising priorities.
• Maintain visual consistency and boutique ambience throughout the trading day, performing touch-ups and adjustments when necessary.

Commercial & Analytical Alignment

• Collaborate with Store Managers and Retail teams to ensure displays reflect commercial priorities, new arrivals, best-sellers, and category opportunities.
• Review sales insights and product performance to support strategic VM adjustments
• Monitor key commercial indicators (sell-through, category trends, stock levels) to ensure VM supports business needs.
• Provide feedback to the Country VM Manager on product visibility, display performance, and any constraints impacting execution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Store Managers, Sales Teams, and Merchandising to coordinate VM activities, ensuring smooth execution during trading and non-trading hours.
• Communicate clearly to store teams regarding the purpose of visual changes, collection stories, and key product messages.
• Support operational planning for VM-related activities including overnight redress, store events, and campaign activations.
• Assist with boutique readiness for visits, audits, events, and senior management reviews.

Operational Excellence

• Maintain and organize all VM tools, mannequins, props, and materials, ensuring they are clean, functional, and stored appropriately.
• Ensure VM assets are properly cared for and any damages or replacements are reported to the Country VM Manager.
• Document VM execution through before/after photos, floor-set images, and VM compliance checklists.
• Ensure all visual components meet health, safety, and operational standards.
• Support new store openings, refurbishments, and layout changes through hands-on execution and coordination.

PROFILE REQUIREMENTS

• 4-5 years of experience in Visual Merchandising within luxury or premium fashion retail.
• Strong understanding of VM principles: zoning, product flow, composition, color coordination, and mannequin styling.
• High attention to detail with a strong aesthetic sense aligned with the brands identity
• Solid commercial awareness with ability to integrate sales insights into visual decisions.
• Proactive, organized, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to collaborate with store and retail teams effectively.
• Proficiency in spoken and written English & Arabic
