Position Summary:

The Orthodontist is responsible for diagnosing, planning, and delivering comprehensive orthodontic treatment to patients of all age groups. The role requires maintaining the highest standards of professional ethics, clinical excellence, and compliance with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS), Ministry of Health (MOH), and CBAHI regulations. The orthodontist will serve both male and female patients while ensuring comfort, privacy, and satisfaction.

Given the demographic and privacy preferences of our patient community, preference may be given to female candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Care

• Diagnose and treat dental and skeletal malocclusions using fixed, removable, and aligner-based systems.
• Develop individualized orthodontic treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings.
• Monitor patient progress, adjust appliances, and document all procedures accurately.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding oral hygiene, appliance care, and treatment goals.
• Collaborate with other dental and medical professionals to ensure comprehensive patient management.
• Ensure compliance with infection control, sterilization, and patient safety standards at all times.

Documentation & Quality

• Maintain detailed and accurate patient records in alignment with SCFHS and CBAHI standards.
• Ensure proper documentation of all clinical procedures within the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Participate in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) initiatives to enhance record quality and regulatory compliance.
• Support the Quality & Patient Safety Department by reporting incidents, risks, and near-misses when applicable.

Professional & Regulatory Compliance

• Hold and maintain a valid
  SCFHS license
  (Orthodontics classification).
• Maintain valid
  Basic Life Support (BLS)
  or
  Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
  certification.
• Maintain valid
  professional malpractice insurance
  .
• Ensure completion of
  Hepatitis B vaccination
  and maintain proof of
  medical fitness
  and
  freedom from communicable diseases
  .
• Adhere to all clinic policies, professional ethics, and Saudi MOH/CBAHI regulations.

Collaboration & Development

• Work closely with the Center Manager, Dental Assistants, and administrative team to ensure efficient clinic operations.
• Participate in case discussions, peer reviews, and internal training programs.
• Contribute to marketing and patient education initiatives as requested.
• Stay updated with new technologies, orthodontic materials, and best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent).
• Postgraduate qualification in Orthodontics (MSc, MOrth, or equivalent).
• Valid
  SCFHS license
  (Orthodontics classification).
• Valid
  BLS or ACLS
  certification.
• Valid
  malpractice insurance
  .
• Completed
  Hepatitis B vaccination
  and medical clearance for communicable diseases.
• Proficiency in
  Arabic and English
  (spoken and written).
• Strong
  computer literacy
  and familiarity with EMR and documentation systems.
• Knowledge or certification in
  Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI)
  is a plus.
• Must be
  legally eligible to work in Saudi Arabia
  (Saudi national or holding a valid work permit/Iqama).
• Preference given to Saudi nationals
  in line with Saudization requirements.
• Excellent communication skills, clinical judgment, and teamwork abilities.
• Prior experience in private dental practice in Saudi Arabia is preferred.

• Standard working hours as per clinic schedule (may include evening shifts or weekends).
