Position Objective:

To provide high-quality, comprehensive dental care—including preventive, restorative, and minor surgical treatments—while ensuring patient safety, clinical accuracy, and compliance with SCFHS, CBAHI, and Ministry of Health standards, as well as the organization's internal policies and quality management system (ISO 9001).

Key Responsibilities:1. Clinical Duties

  • Examine, diagnose, and treat oral health conditions of patients across all age groups.
  • Perform general dental procedures including restorations, root canal treatments, tooth extractions, scaling, polishing, crowns, and bridges.
  • Manage emergency dental cases promptly and effectively.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and post-operative instructions.
  • Refer cases to specialists when required, following internal referral protocols.
  • Perform all clinical procedures strictly within the scope of granted clinical privileges issued by the "Clinical Privileging Committee."
  • Privileges must be reviewed and audited periodically.
  • No dentist may perform any procedure not listed in their approved privileges.
  • Privileges must be officially activated and documented through the "Sehha" MOH platform before practice.
  • Maintain adherence to infection control and sterilization procedures.
  • Uphold patient privacy, dignity, and confidentiality at all times.

2. Quality and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Comply with Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) standards.
  • Report incidents and adverse events through the appropriate reporting system.
  • Participate in internal quality audits and patient safety initiatives.

3. Compliance and Professional Conduct

  • Maintain a valid SCFHS license and BLS certification at all times.
  • Maintain valid malpractice insurance.
  • Ensure compliance with MOH, CBAHI, and internal clinical standards.
  • Maintain Hepatitis B vaccination and medical clearance from communicable diseases.
  • Follow the company's policies on patient safety, infection control, and professional ethics.

4. Collaboration and Professional Development

  • Work collaboratively with dental assistants, hygienists, and administrative staff.
  • Participate in case discussions, staff meetings, and training sessions.
  • Pursue continuing education opportunities and stay updated on new dental technologies and best practices.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Dentistry (BDS or equivalent).
  • Valid SCFHS license – General Dentist classification.
  • Valid BLS certification (mandatory).
  • Valid malpractice insurance.
  • Completed Hepatitis B vaccination and valid health clearance.
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
  • Competent in using computerized dental systems and EMR.
  • Knowledge or certification in Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) is an advantage.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Saudi Arabia (Saudi or valid work permit/Iqama).
  • Preference for Saudi nationals under the Saudization policy.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in private dental practice preferred.
