Role Summary:
The Inspector, Manual End Drift, ensures the inspection of end drift operations in accordance with AMTPJ procedures and work instructions. When required, he must support the VDI Inspector with any quality issues and assist in the preparation of necessary documentation. He also supports internal monitoring activities and contributes to the efficiency of Quality Control throughout the process.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform end-drift operations as per AMTPJ procedures, work instructions, and/or the Process Control Card.
  • Assist in performing visual inspections of seamless pipes to identify any visible defects.
  • Help measure the dimensions of the drift and pipes to ensure they meet specified tolerances.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate records of drift inspections, findings, and any corrective actions taken under the direction of the VDI Inspector.
  • Help maintain inspection equipment in good working condition, ensuring it is clean, properly stored, and ready for use.
  • Report any issues or concerns promptly to the VDI Inspector and communicate effectively with the QC team.
  • Properly execute and complete assigned tasks and effectively implement the directions provided by the supervisor or leader.
  • Apply assigned roles and responsibilities effectively in accordance with the job description and applicable procedures and documents.

Education & Experience:

  • High School or Technical diploma or related certification in Mechanical / Metallurgy / any other Engineering field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment, preferably in the seamless pipes industry.
  • Experience in the seamless pipes industry (API-5L, API-5CT).

Skills:

  • Basic understanding of SAP or any other reputed ERP system.
  • Computer literate.
