  • Design and maintain complex geodatabases, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance for spatial analysis.
  • Develop and implement robust data migration strategies to seamlessly integrate diverse spatial datasets into the ArcGIS environment.
  • Create and manage geodatabase schemas, including feature classes, relationships, and domains to structure geospatial information effectively.
  • Develop and execute SQL queries and Python scripts for data manipulation, analysis, and automation of GIS workflows.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues, optimizing queries and indexes for efficient data retrieval.
  • Collaborate with GIS analysts and developers to understand data requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
  • Implement and maintain data security protocols, ensuring the confidentiality and integrity of sensitive geospatial information.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users on geodatabase management and data access procedures.
Desired Candidate Profile
  • Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field; a Master's is a plus.
  • Holds relevant certifications such as ArcGIS Desktop Professional or ArcGIS Server Enterprise System Design.
  • Demonstrates a minimum of 5 years of experience in GIS database administration within the [Industry] industry.
  • Exhibits a strong understanding of relational database concepts, including SQL, and experience with database platforms like PostgreSQL/PostGIS or SQL Server.
