The Role of the Director of Spa, Fitness & Wellness  (MALE SPA)

The Director of Spa is a charismatic well-known Spa & Fitness leader in the industry and has aesthetic taste with the ability to create a tasteful spa and fitness environment and translates that into eye for detail and crispness. 

In this role the candidate understands market trends and has a proven track record for collaborating with Directors of Marketing to put together sound business plans and supporting action steps. Continues upkeep with current market trends and innovations is essential. 

The individual will possess an engaging personality with a high level of attention to detail and a strong work ethic.  The ability to multitask and prioritize is also essential for this position. Successful candidates will be a  willing  team  player,  comfortable  with  electronic  systems  to  promote  teamwork as  well  as  very communicative with guests and members to instil a sense of belonging to them. 

The Director of Spa is part of a diverse and dynamic team that provides award-winning service to our valued guests. This leader will provide guidance for the operational team in the Spa and Fitness, and will be responsible for delivering the highest level of service in terms of guest experience.

Prime location in the heart of the capital.  Situated at such a prestigious address, our property offers unparalleled proximity to key business areas, shopping centres, and cultural sites, 280 spacious and light-filled rooms, including 40 luxurious suites. 

Areas of responsibility are Spa Treatment Rooms and Fitness Center. 
Food & Beverage 
The hotel boasts three exceptional restaurant venues, collectively offering a seating capacity of 250 guests. 

Our event facilities, with a mix of Ballroom and Meeting Rooms offer a remarkable 7,213 square meters (77,640 square feet) of space, making them the perfect choice for a wide range of events. 
SPA and Wellness 
Nestled within our establishment, our world-class spa offers an array of indulgence across 8 treatment rooms for male guests and 1 treatment room designed exclusively for female guests. This haven of rejuvenation also encompasses high end facilities and a meticulously outfitted fitness centre. 

Complementing this luxurious setting is our Spa department, boasting a diverse and dedicated team of 25 colleagues, all united in their mission to provide exceptional service to our esteemed guests.
 Knowledge and Skills 

• Previous Hotel/Resort Spa and Fitness Experience 

• Minimum 5 years management experience in a luxury Spa and Fitness including membership program a plus 

• Strong leadership & organizational skills required 

• Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language 

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of study required 

• Thorough knowledge of 5-star service standards (Forbes certified is preferred) 

• Effective application of spa staffing models 

• Proven ability to create and implement spa service menus, effective retail management to drive revenues 

• Successful marketing strategies, and demonstrated ability to project costs, revenue and to adhere to the budget that supports monthly / annual financials 

• Proven leadership track record and luxury retail sales experience 

• Previous experience preferred as a hands-on therapist such as massage therapist, aesthetician, etc.
• Strong delegation, leadership, and operational skills to effectively manage high-volume 

• Performance and require previous experience managing high-volume stores or equivalent 

• Ideal candidate will be driven by innovation and strives for excellence 

• Prior SPA opening or renovation experience is a plus
