Job Description SummaryThe Cancer Care Nurse 4 plays a key role in leading nursing unit processes and is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care .- which includes but is not limited to optimizing operational workflows, mentoring junior staff within the unit and working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team .- in order to enhance efficiency and achieve organizational goals.

Operational Roles & Responsibilities- Perform advanced nursing care services including managing complex cases and mentoring junior nurses
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and quality standards
- Coordinate with various clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care
- Provide support during critical decisionmaking and implement improvements as they are identified
- Achieve andor Maintain the mandated set of activities for level 4 which is a minimum total of 25 points in at least five categories within each 12month cycle as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program
- Utilize the nursing process to assess plan implement evaluate and document patient care from admission through discharge specific to the patients age
- Provide nursing care patientfamily education consistent with the plan of care and needs of the patients with respect for the patients privacy dignity personal preference and culture demonstrating acceptance caring and empathy utilizing appropriate resources when applicable
- Precept new hires and trainees during the probation training period and participates in making recommendations regarding progress and training needs
- Respond promptly and effectively to emergency and lifesaving situations by utilizing clinical skills critical thinking and evidencebased practices to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Perform a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy patient safety and comfort while maintaining a safe clean and organized environment for the patient familyvisitors and staff
- Manage patients with invasive and noninvasive hemodynamic monitoring which includes close monitoring and assessments of patients treatment and care coordination
3 years International Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Nursing
Professional Certifications RequiredCurrent licensure as a professional registered nurse Basic Life Support (BLS) Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Certification Online (Mandatory for Chemotherapy and Immunotherapy Competency) ELNEC End.-of.-Life Care Training (To be completed within one year of hiring)
Years of ExperienceMinimum 6 years of nursing experience including 3 years in Cancer Care or related field.
