  • Job Summary :

The role holder is responsible to support in executing risk-based audits covering operational, financial areas to ensure the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal controls and frameworks across the organization. The Operational & Financial Audit lead will develop audit programs, supervise audit engagements, analyze data and control deficiencies, and provide actionable recommendations to enhance operational and financial performance while ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. This position plays a key role in strengthening financial integrity, process efficiency, and risk management, supporting the Operational & Financial Audit Director in fulfilling the Internal Audit function's mandate.

  • Responsibilities & Accountabilities :

-Develop and implement annual and engagement-specific audit plans based on the approved risk-based audit plan and organizational priorities.

-Perform comprehensive risk assessments to identify key operational and financial control areas requiring attention or improvement.

-Conduct financial audits to assess the reliability, accuracy, and completeness of accounting records, financial statements, and transactions.

-Review internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) and recommend enhancements to strengthen control design and implementation.

-Identify, analyze, and evaluate business risks and internal control deficiencies affecting financial or operational performance.

-Perform risk-based testing and ensure audit coverage across high-risk functions, business units, and processes.

-Prepare and review audit reports that clearly articulate findings, root causes, implications, and evidence-based recommendations.

-Communicate audit results and key control issues to management through formal presentations, discussions, and written reports.

-Coordinate with departments to ensure audit observations are properly understood, addressed, and implemented.

-Provide guidance and supervision to assigned auditors, ensuring adherence to audit standards, procedures, and timelines.

-Conduct knowledge transfer sessions and coaching for junior auditors to strengthen their audit, analytical, and communication skills.

-Contribute to the development of innovative audit methodologies, data analytics models, and risk assessment tools.

-Identify improvement opportunities in audit planning, execution, and reporting processes.

Education
: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).

Years of experience
: + 5 years of experience in internal auditing.
