Job Opportunity: Mechanical Engineer – Construction Sector (Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)

is seeking a qualified
Mechanical Engineer
to join our construction team in Riyadh.

The selected candidate will be responsible for designing, supervising, and ensuring compliance of mechanical systems in construction projects, while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Analysis

  • Evaluate mechanical designs for construction projects.
  • Prepare detailed mechanical drawings and schematics using advanced CAM & BIM software.
  • Ensure strict compliance with local and national building codes and safety standards, including the Saudi Building Code (SBC).

Construction & Supervision

  • Coordinate with other engineering disciplines (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, civil, structural) to ensure proper integration of systems.
  • Identify technical issues or design conflicts (RFIs) and provide immediate, effective solutions to avoid delays.
  • Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and vendor documentation to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
  • Assist in final inspections, prepare punch lists, ensure correction of deficiencies, and coordinate handover documentation (O&M manuals, as-built drawings).

Project Management

  • Maintain accurate records of all project documentation.
  • Prepare and submit regular technical and progress reports to management.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in Saudi Arabia or GCC countries.
  • Valid membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
  • Strong ability to read and analyze mechanical drawings.
  • Proficiency in engineering design software (AutoCAD, Revit) and 3D modeling tools.
  • Knowledge of mechanical systems in construction projects (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and piping systems).
  • Strong skills in technical reporting and field supervision.
  • Ability to work within a team and under pressure.

Preferred:

  • Experience in residential and commercial construction projects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with requirements of official authorities for design approvals.
