As an Experienced Technician, Health and Safety, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing health, safety, and environmental practices across our projects. Your expertise will contribute to a safe and healthy work environment, ensuring compliance with local and international HSE standards. This role offers an opportunity to make a significant impact on the well-being of our employees and the success of our engineering consulting projects.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with HSE regulations.
- Develop and implement health and safety policies, procedures, and training programs for all employees.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Maintain accurate records of HSE performance, including incident reporting and trend analysis.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to integrate HSE considerations into project planning and execution.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams on HSE matters, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management.
- Stay updated with the latest HSE regulations and industry best practices, and advise the company on necessary changes.
- Conduct HSE audits and assessments to identify areas of improvement and ensure continuous enhancement.
- Liaise with local authorities and regulatory bodies to obtain necessary permits and approvals for projects.
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar HSE technician role, preferably in the engineering or construction industry.
- Saudi national, with a valid Saudi driving license.
- Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and standards applicable in Saudi Arabia.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with HSE software or systems is preferred.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritize effectively.
- Willingness to travel within Saudi Arabia as required for project assignments.
- Certifications in HSE, such as NEBOSH or OSHA, are highly advantageous.
- A proactive and safety-conscious mindset, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
SCE certificate is required in Health & Safety.
