Job Summary: We are seeking a meticulous and experienced General Accountant to manage and oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the accuracy of financial records, compliance with relevant laws and regulations, and provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

· Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.

· Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to maintain accurate reporting and ledger maintenance.

· Accounts Management: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections. Manage general ledger entries and ensure proper documentation of all financial transactions.

· Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets, providing variance analysis and financial forecasts. Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.

· Taxation and Compliance: Prepare and submit tax returns, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Coordinate internal and external audits, implementing recommendations to enhance financial processes.

· Process Improvement: Review and improve financial policies and control systems to enhance operational efficiency. Implement and maintain accounting software systems to streamline financial operations.

Qualifications:

· Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

· Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA are preferred.

Experience:

Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably within the logistics or transportation industry.

Skills:

· Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

· Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax regulations.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Effective communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders.

Work Environment: This role operates in a dynamic and fast-paced logistics environment. The General Accountant will collaborate closely with various departments, including operations and management, to support financial decision-making and ensure the company's financial health.
