We are seeking a qualified Mechanical and Safety Engineer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, supervision, and delivery of mechanical systems and safety installations (firefighting, fire alarm, HVAC, and plumbing) for commercial and industrial projects in compliance with Saudi Building Codes, NFPA, and civil defense requirements.

Key Responsibilities


• Design, review, and coordinate mechanical systems including firefighting, fire alarm, HVAC, and plumbing.


• Prepare design drawings, material submittals, and technical documentation as per project specifications.


• Conduct safety risk assessments, inspections, and compliance checks in accordance with local regulations and NFPA standards.


• Supervise installation works at site ensuring compliance with SBC, NFPA, and project specifications.


• Collaborate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams for integrated MEP solutions.


• Prepare and review BOQs, cost estimates, and tender documents.


• Coordinate with Civil Defense and relevant authorities for system approvals and testing.


• Ensure all works comply with health, safety, and environmental standards (HSE).


• Prepare reports on mechanical performance, safety audits, and corrective actions.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.


• Minimum 5 years of experience in mechanical and safety systems in consulting companies.


• Strong knowledge of NFPA, SBC, ASHRAE, and local authority regulations.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Office.


• Valid Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) membership preferred.


• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.


• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

• Experience with industrial or commercial fire protection systems.


• Familiar with hydrostatic testing, flow testing, and safety commissioning.


• Knowledge of Civil Defense, and government approval processes.


• Strong problem-solving and leadership abilities.
