Job Purpose

The Graphic Artworking & Way-Finding Specialist is responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and ensuring the execution of all graphic design elements and way-finding components within the project. This includes reviewing technical drawings, inspecting production samples, supervising printing and fabrication, and overseeing installation and testing on-site. The role ensures that all graphic outputs meet the project's technical specifications and visual standards required by the Ministry.

Key Responsibilities

• Review technical specifications for all graphic and way-finding elements within the project.
• Review and approve shop drawings submitted by the contractor.
• Review and approve production samples for graphic elements, print materials, and signage components.
• Provide technical comments, recommendations, and design-related feedback.
• Attend technical and coordination meetings with the client and contractors regarding graphic-related works.
• Follow up on production processes in printing houses and workshops to ensure compliance with approved specifications.
• Supervise the receipt and inspection of graphic materials delivered to the site.
• Oversee on-site implementation including:
• Installation of way-finding signage
• Application of graphic elements
• Testing and commissioning of related components
• Ensure all contractors follow the required graphic and visual standards during execution.
• Coordinate between design teams and site teams to maintain high-quality outcomes.
• Prepare and submit a
  detailed Scope of Work
  to the Ministry for approval prior to execution.

Required Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
• Experience working on similar projects, preferably in museums, cultural institutions, exhibitions, or government projects.
• Strong proficiency in design software, including:
• Adobe Illustrator
• Photoshop
• InDesign
• Solid understanding of printing techniques, materials, signage fabrication, and production workflows.
• Ability to read, analyze, and review technical drawings and design documents.
• Field experience supervising installation and working with contractors and fabrication workshops.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to prepare clear technical reports.
