Vendor Relationship Manager

Job Purpose:
To manage and strengthen relationships with IT vendors and partners, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products and services, optimizing vendor performance, and aligning vendor operations with the company's strategic and technical goals.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Vendor Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the company and IT vendors.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key vendors and partners.
- Resolve any conflicts or performance issues promptly and effectively.
2. Contract & Agreement Management
- Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and service-level agreements (SLAs) to ensure maximum value.
- Monitor vendor compliance with contractual obligations.
- Review and renew contracts as needed to reflect current business and technical requirements.
3. Vendor Evaluation & Performance Monitoring
- Develop and maintain vendor performance metrics (KPIs & SLAs).
- Conduct periodic performance reviews and report findings to management.
- Identify underperforming vendors and propose improvement or replacement plans.
4. Strategic Planning & Development
- Participate in developing the vendor management strategy and policies.
- Support the evaluation and onboarding of new vendors based on business needs.
- Provide input on technology procurement and cost optimization.
5. Internal Collaboration
- Work closely with IT, procurement, finance, and legal teams to align vendor activities with company goals.
- Assist technical teams in identifying suitable vendor solutions.
- Coordinate with finance to ensure accurate billing and payment processing.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in
Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. - 3–7 years
of experience in
vendor management, IT procurement, or contract management. - Strong understanding of
IT services, software licensing, and hardware procurement. - Familiarity with
Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
and
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). - Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills.
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (Arabic & English).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Time management and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of
ITIL, project management, or procurement systems
is an advantage.
Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- Vendor compliance rate with contractual SLAs.
- Cost savings achieved through vendor optimization or negotiation.
- Internal stakeholder satisfaction with vendor services.
- Reduction in vendor-related incidents or issues.
