Role Purpose

Develop and Lead Energy BU, focusing on Energy, Oil & Gas, Utilities, and Mining , Renewable and power solutions sectors. Drive growth through project execution and technical partnerships to expand the product portfolio. Ensure BU profitability, customer satisfaction, and alignment with SMI's broader group strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategy & Growth
  • Define and execute the Energy BU strategy.
  • Lead the development of alliances and technical partnerships to expand product offerings and market access, with a focus on Saudi Arabia
  • Build an annual business plan and budget, including Capex requirements that need to be allocated based on the group budget
  • E execution of the initiatives, with the collaboration of the Strategy and transformation office, to deliver the expected results
  • Commercial & Customer
  • Oversee the sales and business development team in securing new projects and framework agreements
  • Identify, negotiate, and execute strategic partnership opportunities
  • Focus on scaling product revenues into existing customers and new ones.
  • Develop and own key customer relationships to drive product portfolio expansion in the sector
  • Operations
  • Drive knowledge and technology transfer into Energy BU
  • Oversee capacity planning and inventory management
  • Drive cost optimization initiatives across the supply chain, in collaboration with the procurement and supply chain team, to ensure market competitiveness

Governance & Reporting

  • Full accountability for BU P&L
  • Report performance to Group the group CEO.
  • Drive performance management implementation at BUs, including target setting, KPIs deployment and meeting structure

Qualifications & Experience

  • 12+ years in
    Energy, Oil & Gas, Utilities, or Mining sectors
    with project and solution exposure
  • Track record of
    P&L leadership
    and business development
  • Experience in O&G components or related industrial equipment is highly preferred
  • Knowledge of regional (GCC) and international energy markets
  • Arabic a plus; English fluency required
