Job Description

Core responsibilities

  • Interpreting plans:

Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to understand project requirements.
- Preparing materials:

Cleaning and preparing metal surfaces for welding, which may include cutting materials to the correct size and shape.
- Setting up for welding:

Positioning, aligning, and securing metal components according to the project specifications.
- Performing welds:

Using various welding techniques (e.g., MIG, TIG, stick) to join metal parts.
- Quality control:

Inspecting finished welds for defects and ensuring they meet all specifications and safety standards.
- Equipment maintenance:

Maintaining and repairing the welding machinery and equipment they use.
- Following safety procedures:

Adhering to strict safety regulations and using the correct personal protective equipment.
