Job Objective:

Ensure proper data management in accordance with established governance policies and regulations, and protect data privacy in compliance with national and international laws. The role aims to ensure the reliability, confidentiality, and integrity of data to support the organization's strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures in line with best practices and regulatory standards.
  • Monitor compliance with data privacy and protection requirements.
  • Identify and classify sensitive data and apply appropriate protection controls.
  • Work with technical and administrative teams to ensure systems and applications comply with governance and privacy policies.
  • Conduct risk assessments related to data and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  • Prepare regular reports on compliance levels, data quality, and privacy status.
  • Promote awareness of data governance and privacy policies within the organization.
  • Ensure organizational practices align with applicable laws and regulations, including the Personal Data Protection Law in Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of practical experience in data governance, data privacy, or information protection.
  • Knowledge of national and international data protection regulations.
  • Familiarity with data governance frameworks and risk management practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to draft policies and procedures.

Required Skills:

  • Deep understanding of data governance and privacy concepts.
  • Ability to apply governance and privacy controls to technical systems.
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Risk analysis and compliance management skills.
  • Accuracy and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E) or Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (CIPP/US)
