Job Purpose:

To provide technical expertise and engineering support in the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring plant reliability, safety, and compliance with company standards and Saudi regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, design, and oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems in compliance with engineering standards.
  • Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, data sheets, and technical documents for E&I projects.
  • Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis for electrical and instrumentation equipment failures.
  • Develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical and instrumentation systems to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Coordinate with operations, maintenance, and project teams for timely execution of E&I-related activities.
  • Evaluate vendor proposals and participate in technical bid evaluations and procurement activities.
  • Ensure all works comply with safety standards, codes, and quality assurance requirements.
  • Provide technical support during plant shutdowns, turnarounds, and project execution.
  • Support energy efficiency and system optimization initiatives.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance to maintenance teams.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Education
    :
    Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or Control Engineering.
  • Experience:
    8–10 years of relevant experience in the petrochemical, oil & gas, or process industry.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems (LV/MV), instrumentation, and control systems (PLC, DCS, SIS).
  • Proficiency in engineering software such as ETAP, SPI (Intools), AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Familiarity with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, ISA, API).
  • Certifications:
  • Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration preferred.
  • Safety certifications (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
  • Soft Skills:
    Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Language:
    Proficient in English; Arabic is an advantage.
