Our client is a $multi-billion international drilling contractor who are seeking an experienced
IT Director
to lead their technology operations and drive the company's digital transformation initiatives. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in shaping the IT landscape of a leading player in the
oil and gas
sector.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the
Chief Operating Officer (COO)
, you will manage a diverse IT team of
15+ professionals
across multiple disciplines — including network systems, hardware, infrastructure, and enterprise applications (SAP, ERP, HRIS).

You will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day IT operations while leading strategic digital transformation projects, ensuring seamless integration of critical business systems and continued modernization of the company's technology environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage the IT Services team to deliver robust and reliable technology support across the organization.
  • Oversee infrastructure, network systems, and hardware operations.
  • Drive ongoing digital transformation initiatives, aligning with systems such as
    SAP, ERP, HRIS, and HRIM
    .
  • Manage and deliver multiple
    SAP projects
    (preferably S/4HANA migration experience).
  • Collaborate with senior management to ensure IT strategy aligns with overall business goals.

What We're Looking For

  • 15+ years' experience
    in IT Operations, with exposure to multiple full SAP lifecycle implementations.
  • Proven leadership experience managing teams handling network systems and hardware.
  • Background in the
    oil & gas
    industry.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project delivery skills.
