Role Description

This is an on-site full-time role for a Chief Officer located in Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The Chief Officer will be responsible for overseeing vessel operations, ensuring compliance with maritime regulations, and managing crew activities. Day-to-day tasks include coordinating with the captain on navigation and safety procedures, supervising cargo operations, maintaining ship equipment, and ensuring the implementation of safety protocols. The Chief Officer will also be responsible for mentoring and training crew members, as well as conducting regular inspections to adhere to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience in vessel operations, navigation, and maritime safety
  • Strong leadership and crew management skills
  • Knowledge of cargo operations and ship equipment maintenance
  • Understanding of maritime regulations and compliance procedures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
  • Relevant certifications and licenses in maritime operations
  • Degree in Maritime Studies, Marine Engineering, or related field is preferred
