A leading talent acquisition company, is on the lookout for a Technical Writer specializing in the Oil & Gas sector. This role is pivotal in developing, writing, and distributing high-quality technical documents that effectively communicate essential information to various stakeholders in the industry.

As a Technical Writer, you will collaborate closely with engineers, project managers, and subject matter experts to create documentation that meets the technical and regulatory needs of the Oil & Gas sector. This role is critical in supporting the submission of peer-reviewed technical articles that contribute to industry innovation and leadership.

Responsibilities:
  • Create, edit, and maintain technical documentation, including project reports, standard operating procedures, user guides, and training materials specific to the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Work collaboratively with project teams to gather, analyze, and organize complex information for documentation.
  • Technical writing and editing: Assist SMEs in editing and formatting technical papers for submission to peer-reviewed journals and industry conferences.
  • Research and documentation: Collaborate with SMEs to structure complex data, technical findings, and industry best practices in well-organized papers.
  • Journal submission process: Facilitate the journal submission process, including formatting compliance, reference management, and responding to peer-review feedback.
  • Ensure consistency and standards: Maintain high editorial and technical writing standards, following industry-specific guidelines and referencing styles.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience in technical writing within the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in industry-specific terminology and the ability to translate complex engineering concepts into understandable documentation.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and specialized documentation software.
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
