Job Summary:

A JLG Operator is responsible for operating a JLG (aerial work platform or man lift) to safely lift personnel, tools, and materials to elevated work areas. The role involves conducting equipment inspections, following safety procedures, and supporting construction or maintenance activities at height.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate JLG equipment to lift and position personnel and materials safely.
  • Conduct pre-operation inspections and ensure the equipment is in good working condition.
  • Follow all site safety rules and operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with supervisors and team members to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Assist in positioning equipment and materials at designated work areas.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
  • Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of the JLG equipment.
  • Ensure proper use of PPE and fall protection while operating.

Qualifications / Skills:

  • Proven experience as a JLG or Man Lift Operator.
  • Valid JLG / Aerial Lift operating license or certification.
  • Knowledge of safe operating procedures and site safety regulations.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Physical ability to work at heights and handle tools or materials.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed outdoors at construction or maintenance sites.
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions, dust, and noise.
  • Requires use of safety harness and PPE at all times.
  • May involve working at heights and extended hours as needed.
Skills
  • Proven experience as a JLG or Man Lift Operator.
  • Valid JLG / Aerial Lift operating license or certification.
  • Knowledge of safe operating procedures and site safety regulations.
