KITCHEN EQUIPMENT & HVAC TECHNICIAN

Role Overview:

A Kitchen Equipment & HVAC Technician is responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial kitchen appliances and HVAC systems. This includes hot and cold line equipment, refrigeration units, ventilation systems, air-conditioning units, and ducting components used in commercial food service environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on kitchen equipment (ovens, fryers, grills, dishwashers, salamanders, chillers, etc.).
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems (split AC, package units, exhaust fans, fresh air units, ecology units, ductwork issues).
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, and plumbing faults.
  • Replace faulty parts, perform system calibration, and ensure proper operation.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure all equipment meets safety and performance standards.
  • Install new kitchen and HVAC equipment, perform testing, commissioning, and provide operational guidance.
  • Maintain accurate service reports and communicate findings with clients.
