Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and technically strong
Senior Network Engineer
to manage, support, and enhance our campus-wide network infrastructure. This role involves hands-on work with switches, routers, wireless systems, and basic IP telephony, ensuring stable connectivity and optimal performance across all network layers. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of campus network design and is eager to take ownership of operational excellence, incident resolution, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities:

· Configure, monitor, and maintain enterprise-level
L2/L3 switches, routers, and campus network devices
.

· Perform proactive network health checks, capacity monitoring, and performance tuning.

· Manage
VLAN configurations
, trunking, and inter-VLAN routing.

· Investigate and resolve complex network issues affecting connectivity, performance, or security.

· Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for wired and wireless network incidents.

· Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and recommend preventive measures.

· Support and optimize
wireless access points, controllers, and RF coverage
.

· Conduct periodic Wi-Fi site surveys, heatmap analyses, and interference testing.

· Improve user experience through bandwidth optimization and roaming support.

· Implement and maintain access control lists (ACLs), device hardening, and segmentation best practices.

· Ensure compliance with internal security policies and industry standards.

· Collaborate with security teams on vulnerability mitigation and patch management.

· Participate in network
expansion, modernization, and upgrade projects
.

· Assist with technology refresh cycles, equipment roll-outs, and infrastructure redesigns.

· Cooperate with helpdesk, systems, and cybersecurity teams to support business continuity.

· Maintain up-to-date
network diagrams, technical documentation, and inventory records
.

· Prepare performance reports, incident summaries, and change management documentation.

· Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Computer Networks, Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields
    .
  • 3–5 years
    of experience in enterprise or campus network operations.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • VLANs, STP, EtherChannel
  • Routing protocols
    : OSPF, EIGRP
  • QoS, network segmentation, and traffic prioritization
  • Experience with
    Cisco, Aruba, Huawei, or equivalent
    networking equipment.
  • Familiarity with
    IP telephony
    , basic voice gateway configuration, or CUCM concepts is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience using network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, Cisco Prime, NetFlow analyzers).
  • CCNA
    required;
    CCNP
    highly preferred.
  • Additional wireless or campus networking certifications are an advantage.
  • Strong analytical thinking and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle high-priority incidents.
  • Attention to detail with a commitment to documentation and standards.
