EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree required. Teaching qualification or equivalent if Bachelor's degree not in Education or related subject.
Strongly desirable to have a Master's degree in Educational Leadership (or related matters), or a postgraduate qualification related to educational leadership (such as NPQH).
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
At least 10 years of experience in teaching including at least three years of experience in mid or senior level instructional leadership.
REQUIRED SKILLS
• Excellent planning and organizing skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Effective communication with a variety of stakeholders.
• High proficiency in English language
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a wide variety of stakeholders.
JOB PURPOSE
To plan, evaluate and lead on all academic matters related to teaching and learning, curriculum design and implementation, assessment and data analysis, students' personal and social development and school wide self-evaluation and development planning.
To build effective relationships with key stakeholders and to ensure that a positive and collaborative culture is embedded in the school, in line with Ma'arif vision and core values.
To collaborate with the Education Team at HQ in order to ensure the school is providing quality educational provision and to optimize the collective benefits that Ma'arif schools provide to the communities of KSA.
To ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of the school, effecteivly managing staffing, scheduling and other operational matters.
To oversee the pastoral and wellbeing needs of all students within the school.
To undertake perfromance management of the school academic staff in accordance with agreed policy and procedures.
To support the work of the Superintendent in all academic matters relating to school performance and effectiveness.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responsible for all matters related to teaching and learning and academic affairs at the school
• Implements the vision and mission of Maarif in collaboration with other administrative and academic leaders at the school.
• Develops the structure for academic operations (number of classes, teacher allocation and loads, etc ).
• Responsible for the implementation of the MLG Operational Policy - all matters related to academics
• Responsible for developing improvement and action plans to address findings of data analysis (qualitative and quantitative data)
• Leads the academic team at the school in designing and implementing a creative curriculum that meets the needs of students.
• Identifies staff professional development needs and designs training programs to address these needs.
• Line manages the school's academic team and is responsible for its performance
• Collaborates with the Superintendent, Heads of school, Head of School Administration and other leadership members in developing appropriate strategies to meet enrolment targets and minimize attrition rates.
•Leads the process of self-evaluation across the school and is responsible for developing the school's improvement plan.
• Responsible for collating and endorsing the performance evaluation results for the academic team and for submitting results for approval by the General Supervisor.
• Establishes communication and collaborative channels with relevant academic entities to broaden students' opportunities and to enrich learning experiences.
• Evaluates the quality of teaching and learning by conducting appraisal visits to all teachers at least once per academic year
• Responsible for the credibility and validity of assessments and ensures all relevant guidelines are met
• Collaborates with relevant staff members in ensuring the school environment is suitable and safe for optimal learning experiences
• Responsible for implementing all education policies and guidelines as prescribed by the Education Department at HQ.
• Undertake all tasks as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Education HQ.
• Comply with safeguarding standards and protocols.
