Financial Controller

We're recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation that is seeking an experienced
Financial Controller
to oversee all aspects of financial planning, budgeting, control, and reporting. This strategic leadership role is integral to ensuring the organisation's financial integrity, operational efficiency, and compliance with national and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, define, and implement the Finance Department's strategies, policies, and procedures to ensure effective financial management, control, and reporting.
  • Establish and manage short- and long-term departmental goals, objectives, and operating plans, providing leadership and guidance to supervisory teams.
  • Oversee all financial operations, including accounting services, financial planning, and advisory functions.
  • Coordinate with departmental leaders to consolidate annual budgets and financial plans, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse monthly operating results, comparing performance against budgets and forecasts.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve financial control frameworks, ensuring clear financial accountabilities and authorities.
  • Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and compliance with all relevant regulatory and reporting requirements.
  • Recommend financial and operational benchmarks for performance measurement and improvement.
  • Oversee financial reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including management, auditors, and partner entities.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to ensure financial systems and ERP platforms are optimized, secure, and up to date.
  • Support and coordinate with internal and external auditors, ensuring audit readiness and compliance with governance standards.
  • Lead departmental budgeting and capital expenditure planning processes in alignment with organizational goals.
  • Promote professional development by overseeing employee training, certification, and performance management within the Finance Department.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, benchmarking, and strategic projects to strengthen the organization's financial performance.
  • Perform other duties as required by executive leadership.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree
    in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • MBA or Postgraduate qualification
    in Finance (preferred).
  • Professional certification
    such as CPA, CIA, CFA, CMA, or ACCA (required).
  • Minimum
    15 years of relevant experience
    in finance or accounting, including financial leadership, management, or supervisory experience.

Key Skills and Competencies:

  • In-depth knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles.
  • Strong understanding of financial reporting systems and ERP platforms (e.g., SAP).
  • Knowledge of Saudi Arabian financial and regulatory frameworks.
  • Expertise in financial statement analysis, forecasting, and performance measurement.
  • Strategic thinking, analytical ability, and sound decision-making skills.
  • Proven leadership, team management, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Fluent in
    Arabic and English
    , both written and spoken.
  • Ability to present financial insights effectively to senior management and stakeholders.
