Job Summary:

The Health and Safety Specialist is responsible for facilitating compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines. They will provide advice on measures to minimize hazards or unhealthy situations and will be vigilant for violations. The job role is focused on prevention and requires a detail orientated person ready to take appropriate action in emergencies. The goal is to establish a safe workplace according to legal standards and foster a culture of attention to Occupational Health and Safety.

Key Responsibilities:

The job holder will be based in Riyadh and responsible on the warehouses in the region.

Supporting the development of OHS policies and programs

Advising and instructing on various safety-related topics (Fire Fighting, work at height use of machinery etc.)

Conducting risk assessment and enforcing preventative measures across territory facilities.

Support the development of OHS policies and programs.

Advise and instruct on various safety-related topics (noise levels, use of machinery etc.)

Review existing policies and ensure compliance to all relevant legislation.

Initiate and organize OHS training for Employees and Executives.

Conduct regular inspections of premises and personnel to identify issues or non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment).

Oversee installations of equipment, General maintenance, disposal of any substances etc.

Stop any unsafe acts or processes that seem dangerous or unhealthy

Record and investigate incidents to determine causes and handle worker's compensation claims

Prepare reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management based on appropriate time intervals

Undertake other assigned duties related to the job as requested by management

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in science/engineering or equivalent with additional professional qualifications in HSE.

2 years or above experience in Health & Safety.

Health, Safety, Incident Investigation and HSE Auditing Techniques.

Familiar with ISO 14001:2004 or OHSAS 45001 standards
