What This Role Is About

Our client is seeking a Vice President – Tax, based in Riyadh, to lead the tax function for their Middle East operations.

You will be responsible for end-to-end tax management, including compliance, reporting, planning, and advisory, ensuring alignment with both local regulations and the organization's strategic goals.

This is a hands-on leadership role with two direct reports, requiring someone who can think strategically, operate independently, and also roll up their sleeves to manage the full spectrum of tax responsibilities.

The role is ideal for a senior tax professional with strong Middle East experience, comfortable navigating complex, unstructured environments, and capable of setting up or formalizing tax processes in growing organizations.

The Client's Definition of the Ideal Fit

  • 15+ years of solid, end-to-end tax experience, preferably in regional or multinational organisations.
  • Proven Middle East tax experience, including working with local groups.
  • Ability to operate independently, lead strategy, and manage the entire tax function hands-on.
  • Experience managing small teams (2–5 people) effectively while driving impact across the organisation.
  • Comfortable working in unstructured environments, establishing processes, and driving compliance.
  • Strong commercial acumen, problem-solving skills, and stakeholder management capabilities.
