Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced
Mechanical Site Engineer
to oversee and manage mechanical installations and site activities for a
115 kV substation
project. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, hands-on site supervision, and coordination across multiple disciplines to ensure project timelines, quality, and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage all mechanical works on-site, ensuring adherence to project specifications and standards.
  • Oversee installation and alignment of transformers, cooling systems, and other substation mechanical components.
  • Lead and monitor lifting operations, ensuring safety compliance and proper execution.
  • Verify tolerances and ensure accurate mechanical fit-ups.
  • Coordinate with civil and electrical engineering teams for seamless integration of work activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections and quality checks to ensure high standards and resolve any on-site issues promptly.
  • Prepare site progress reports, update project stakeholders, and maintain documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in mechanical site supervision, preferably in high-voltage substations or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, transformer erection, and substation cooling systems.
  • Excellent coordination and team management skills.
  • Familiarity with project safety regulations and quality control standards.
  • Proficient in technical drawings, tools, and industry practices.
