Position

Anesthesia Technologist

Location

Essential Responsibilities and Duties

  1. Collects, checks and prepares anesthesia equipment prior to surgery and monitoring equipment.
  2. Ensures that required drugs, supplies, infusion fluids and equipment are readily available prior to and during surgery.
  3. Prepares for all anesthesia procedures like blood transfusion, intravascular catheterization, invasive and non-Invasive monitoring equipment, general, regional or local anesthesia, chemotherapy and organ transplantation as needed.
  4. Prepares and assists in patient position for surgical procedures.
  5. Assists the anesthesiologist during anesthesia induction by manual ventilation and intubation under anesthesiologist supervision as required.
  6. Prepares and administers drugs under anesthesiologist's supervision as prescribed.
  7. Checks blood and blood products with anesthesiologist and administers them under anesthesiologist supervision.
  8. Assists anesthesiologist with intra-hospital patient transfer with monitoring as required.
  9. Assists the anesthesiologist with any emergency resuscitation as required and responses to trauma and major disaster plan.
  10. Performs on-call, late and float shifts assignments.
  11. Participates in self's and others' education, training and development as applicable.
  12. Follows Hospital related policies and procedures.
  13. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Anesthesia is required.

Experience Required

Two (2) years of related experience with Bachelor's Degree is required.

Other Requirements

Current Registration from country of origin and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCHS) is required.
