Avionics Inspector

1. Assists the RSAF in the analysis and solution ofengineering problems related to avionics systems and equipment. Evaluatesanalytical possibilities and devises methods for the solution of problems.Performs analysis of communication, navigation, radar and instrument systemsand equipment.2. Assist the RSAF in creating original design forchanges to existing systems to improve reliability, maintainability, orperformance. Selects materials, components and process suitable for theconditions associated with the end use of the system or equipment. Evaluatesthe design of proposed new systems and equipment or changes to existing systemsand equipment to determine that design criteria have been met.3. Prepares specifications for the design andperformance of avionics systems and equipment. Devises tests to be performed toverify performance to specification requirements.4. Monitors test programs associated with avionicssystems and equipment. Evaluates test data to identify problems and or/verifyperformance.5. Provides guidance and instruction to otherengineers in the field of avionics engineering. Organizes and conducts informalOn -the -Job -Training (OJT).6. Recommends additional formal training to enhancethe engineering capabilities of other engineers.
