Job Purpose:

To supervise and perform maintenance activities on mechanical and electromechanical systems in the poultry production plant, ensuring equipment reliability, quick troubleshooting, and safe, efficient operation of all slaughterhouse machinery.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Design maintenance strategies, procedures, and methods.
  • Carry out routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults.
  • Diagnose breakdown problems.
  • Fit new parts and make sure equipment is working correctly.
  • Carry out quality inspections on jobs.
  • Utilize proper safety techniques and equipment to promote safety for self and others.
  • Mechanical technicians inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and overhaul mechanical systems used in the slaughterhouse, such as killing, defeathering, evisceration machines, pumps, gearboxes, and motors.
  • Perform daily maintenance of poultry production plant equipment and facilities.
  • Record and document maintenance daily and routinely.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance procedures.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electromechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing repair, preferably within the poultry industry.
  • Proficiency in the English language.
