Job Purpose:

  • Evaluates possible information security risks that the bank could be exposed to develop strategies to minimize the same.
  • Identifies and analyses threats to SAB, ensures constant monitoring and facilitates the design and establishment of mitigation plans with SAB senior management.
  • Develops and maintains KPIs and KRIs of security operations center and ensure continuous monitoring and reporting of these KPIs and KRIs
  • Liaises with HSBC group, discusses requirements with the businesses and external providers and leads the development of new information security systems (e.g. Incident management platform, Threat intelligence platform and Security Information and Event Management System) in order to ensure SAB security systems are up to date and according to global best practice.
  • Manages and identifies the emerging threats and continuously verifying controls to reduce risk exposure noncyber-attacks.
  • Ensures Security operations center policies are up-to-date with all rules and regulations of Saudi Central Bank and National Cybersecurity Authority through periodic reviews.
  • Develops and maintains a highly skilled and efficient team, capable of managing high severity Information and cybersecurity incidents.
  • Drives the processes that can be automated and orchestrated to ensure maximum efficiency of Monitoring and Detection tooling to allow increased focus on advanced adversary detection and containment.
  • Promotes a culture of individual self-improvement whereby staff are expected to maintain subject matter expertise within their area of focus and within the realm of cybersecurity.
  • Develops and maintains highly skilled and efficient team of Cyber intelligence analysts, capable of monitoring the global cyber threat landscape through; open source channels, vendor feeds and participation in industry /regulatory information sharing organizations.
  • Develops and maintains 24/7 skilled and efficient team, capable of monitoring the entire SAB technology and information estate to quickly detect harmful behaviors and events and, in coordination with the Incident Management and Response Team, effectively contain, mitigate and remediate the threats.

Qualifications/Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Cyber-Security / Computer Science, Master's degree is preferred.
  • Around +15 years of experience with preferred 6 years in a relevant senior role.
