Supply Chain Logistics Manager

General Description

The Supply Chain & Logistics Manager plays a critical role in customer satisfaction by leading day-to-day operational activities across the
order-to-delivery
cycle. After order configuration and BOM release, the role ensures accurate material planning, supplier coordination, handling-unit (HU) consolidation, and shipment execution — requiring close collaboration with sales, field teams, and manufacturing.

This is a leadership role with a two-phase mission:

Phase 1:
Selection and management of a 3PL partner for a temporary warehouse.

Phase 2:
Transition to full in-house logistics operations at a large-scale manufacturing plant.

Success requires strong leadership across material planning, project delivery scheduling, inventory/storage control, and inbound/outbound logistics.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Procurement Control

• Release purchase orders after BOM completion.
• Monitor supplier delivery performance using the company's procurement system.
• Expedite or adjust delivery plans based on project needs.
• Coordinate invoice processing and documentation.
• Follow up on customs clearance for imported materials.

Project Scheduling

• Conduct high-level scheduling for customer projects.
• Establish and improve delivery timelines using supplier and production lead times, logistics constraints, and internal capacity.
• Monitor order progress and address any delays or issues.
• Collaborate closely with field teams to meet customer expectations.

Material Planning

• Understand demand forecasts and production requirements.
• Build material plans to avoid shortages and excess inventory.
• Work with purchasing teams to ensure proper execution.
• Perform periodic inventory counts and reconciliations.

Day-to-Day Operations — Distribution Center

Phase 1: Temporary Warehouse & 3PL Management

• Participate in the 3PL selection process.
• Establish a governance framework and performance review mechanisms.
• Oversee 3PL operations, ensuring service level, accuracy, and safety.
• Manage logistics-related budgets and invoice approvals.
• Oversee customs processes and cost structures.

Phase 2: Factory Logistics & Transition

• Lead the transition from the 3PL warehouse to the new factory logistics operations.
• Develop SOPs for all logistics processes.
• Manage in-house teams for inbound, warehousing, line feeding, and outbound operations.
• Oversee contracted logistics service providers.
• Manage overall logistics performance, cost, and quality metrics.

General Responsibilities

• Recruit, develop, and manage the local logistics team.
• Align with cross-functional stakeholders (supply chain, sales, manufacturing).
• Collaborate with global logistics teams to ensure alignment with global standards and systems.
• Drive continuous improvement to optimize performance and reduce costs.

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Logistics, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Professional Experience

• Minimum 8 years in logistics operations within KSA.
• Strong understanding of KSA-specific logistics requirements (customs, clearance, transportation).
• Preferred experience in manufacturing environments.
• Leadership experience managing teams of 20+ employees.
• Experience in multinational environments is a plus.

Skills & Competencies

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong planning, organizational, and leadership capabilities.
• Fluency in English; Arabic preferred.
• Hands-on mindset and willingness to work in operational environments.

Work Environment & Travel

• Occasional travel within KSA or internationally.
• Role requires direct presence in operational areas (warehouse, production).
