Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide range of orthopedic surgical procedures, including:
  • Trauma and fracture fixation
  • Arthroscopy (knee, shoulder, etc.)
  • Joint replacement surgeries (hip, knee, shoulder)
  • Spine-related orthopedic surgeries (if applicable)
  • Sports injury surgeries
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage conditions related to bones, joints, ligaments, tendons, and muscles.
  • Provide emergency and elective surgical care for orthopedic trauma cases.
  • Conduct pre-operative and post-operative assessments and follow-up visits.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans using both surgical and non-surgical approaches.
  • Interpret diagnostic imaging such as X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs.
  • Work closely with physiotherapists and rehabilitation teams to ensure optimal patient recovery.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as required by the hospital.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, surgical reports, and patient records in compliance with hospital standards.
  • Ensure adherence to clinical safety protocols and evidence-based orthopedic practices.
  • Supervise, guide, and support junior doctors and orthopedic residents when needed.

Requirements

  • Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent).
  • Completed residency in Orthopaedic Surgery.
  • Valid license from the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS).
  • Minimum 14 years of proven experience in orthopaedic surgery.
  • Fellowship or Board Certification in Orthopaedics (preferred).
  • Strong experience in trauma, joint reconstruction, and advanced orthopedic cases.
  • Excellent decision-making skills, communication, and teamwork abilities.
