JOB OVERVIEW

The Wellhead Design engineer reports to the General Manager.

  • The role is focused on wellhead equipment and associated components; they are responsible to design the equipment in accordance to industry standard and customer specifications, starting from the layout drawing up to detailed engineering drawings.
  • He will be involved in the design reviews aiming to improve the efficiency and performances of the equipment, and he will be able to provide solutions requiring the development or improvement of technical specification, installation procedures, etc.
  • The role involves coordination with cross-functional teams including Quality, manufacturing, testing, procurement, and field service.
  • The role will include the overall responsibility for the Engineering department in KSA, which will include Tech Support Engineers, Trainee Design engineers etc.,

JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Develop wellhead layout drawing , general view showing a generic graphic description of each part

  2. Develop wellhead engineering drawings : manufacturing & assembling drawings

  3. Setup bill of materials for products (BOM) to meet drawing design and API industry standards

  4. Maintain products documentation, drawing schedules, project technical specifications.

  5. Update of standards and engineering specifications

  6. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and coordinate with project teams to meet milestones and delivery schedules.

  7. Support procurement by reviewing vendor drawings and specifications and providing technical clarifications.

  8. Provide support to Manufacturing and Service

  9. Provide technical specifications

  10. Provide installation and assembly procedures.

  11. Contribute to technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code

  12. Contribute to Engineering improvements / modifications to existing products

  13. Provide support to field and Customers through technical meeting

Education: Bachelor of Science or Master's Degree in Mechanical or Petroleum Engineering.

Experience & Skills

  1. Minimum 8+ years' work experience in architectural design in oil and gas industry.

  2. Preferably have a Minimum of 5 years involvement in Xmas tree and wellhead designing

  3. Excellent communication skills in English (Written & Spoken) with the ability to manage and control high level of technical meetings.

  4. Technically competent and possess strong analytical, problem solving and time management skills

  5. Knowledgeable in latest API 6A, Api Q1 and all related oil & Gas standards PLUS

  6. Accustomed with surface wellhead brands like FMC, Cameron, Baker and Delta.

  7. Proficient in Aramco SAMSS specification, manufacturing and testing procedures.

  8. Hands-on exposure to field installations, pressure testing, or FAT/SIT procedures.

  9. Experienced in Microsoft Office application, 3D software solid edge or equivalent.

Working Conditions:

 Office-based with occasional travel to manufacturing sites, vendors, or field locations.

 May require visits to workshops, yards, or offshore facilities for inspections and tests.
