The Role

The F&B Marketing Manager sets and executes the media/marketing strategy for food and beverage outlets. In conjugation with the Restaurant General Managers / Cluster Director of Food and Beverage, Cluster Director of PR & Marcom and Cluster Director of Sales & Marketing, the F&B Marketing Manager plays an integral role in the development and execution of the F&B annual strategic marketing plan comprised of public relations, social media, digital marketing and marketing communications strategies that support the business objectives. Through strategic thinking and execution, the candidate is expected to increase awareness and visibility of the outlets and its food and beverage offerings and team, and through this, contribute to driving traffic and revenue.

Restaurant Operations

  • Executes all key F&B Marketing initiatives as defined below
  • Develops annual F&B marketing strategy and action plan, co-develop and execute business goals
  • Preserves brand and concept integrity in all elements of the marketing process
  • Design and implement innovative programs and campaigns that increase awareness of F&B, its offerings and dynamic team
  • Leads in F&B's digital strategy with a proactive and creative approach to all available digital and electronic marketing platforms from planning to implementation and reporting
  • Actively manages RSGH F&B websites / landing pages, ensuring alignment with the F&B outlets' positioning, business objectives and creative storytelling
  • Ensure up-to-date information on partner and third-party websites
  • Oversee F&B online reputation by monitoring and ensuring appropriate management of third-party review sites and social platforms
  • Manage the restaurants' databases, always striving to increase subscribers whilst remaining compliant with privacy laws, RSGH Privacy Policy as well as established internal policies and protocols for the creation and maintenance of "local mailing lists" and the use of RSGHs' platforms for marketing and promotional emails
  • Manages F&B social media channels where applicable, from strategy to content creation, daily channel management and reporting
  • Curating and creating relevant and engaging content, telling a story consistent with the outlets and RSGH while increasing following and engagement
  • Leverage social media channels to amplify key messages and activities, elevating the importance of search as well as strategic and creative communication
  • Pursue and coordinate social media influencer visits and utilize available programs to integrate proper User Generated Content
  • Monitor social media conversations relevant to industry, luxury, local, and international markets
  • Work closely with Restaurant GMs, Executive Chefs and Beverage Managers to identify and produce social media content opportunities and have presence at relative F&B events
  • Develop partnership/co-branding opportunities that elevate brand visibility and create footfall
  • Coordinate promotional menus with the Executive Chef and Restaurant General Manager as well as beverage menus
  • Project manage each collateral item, including the negotiation of costs, a production timeline and the editing of each draft, ensuring final artwork is signed off by all required signees, prior to distribution
  • In partnership with Cluster PR and Marketing Director, coordinate and oversee any F&B related photo- and videoshoots to ensure all F&B visual assets are in line with the brands standards
  • Maintains Hotel's image library and video banks with related F&B content, and obtain all signed usage rights as needed

Graphic Design Management:

  • With the support of Graphic Designer and Agency Partners, oversee the design and production of all marketing collateral, including brochures, digital content, social media graphics, email campaigns, and promotional materials
  • Ensure that all designs reflect the brand's aesthetics and storytelling elements, maintaining consistency across all channels

Collaboration with Marketing Teams:

  • Work closely with marketing and communications team to develop innovative campaigns that align with the resorts' objectives.

Collaborate with photographers, videographers, and copywriters to produce integrated creative assets that capture the luxury experience

Brand Identity Development:

  • Drive the evolution of F&B brands visual identity, ensuring all design outputs reinforce the unique personality and luxury standards of each resort
  • Where applicable, with the support of agency partners; create and maintain comprehensive brand guidelines that detail visual standards, typography, color palettes, and logo usage

Project Oversight and Coordination

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budgets without compromising quality
  • Develop project timelines and collaborate with internal teams and third-party vendors to execute efficiently

Performance Analysis and Continuous Improvement

  • Monitor F&B marketing performance metrics and gather feedback from internal and external stakeholders to evaluate effectiveness and areas for improvement
  • Stay updated on design trends and innovations in the hospitality industry to inform the creative process and keep designs fresh and engaging

Key Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, or a related field.
  • Minimum four years of experience in marketing, social media, digital marketing, public relations and related industries, preferably within hospitality
  • Solid understanding of the F&B marketplace; well-informed of market trends and user behaviors, including leading marketing strategies unique to this category
  • Strong understanding of F&B commercial metrics and key success drivers
  • Excellent project management skills - able to conceive and implement projects from start to finish, manage processes and expectations, and build commitment to deadlines, both individually or in a matrix structure with multiple managers and indirect stakeholders
  • Proactive and inquisitive mindset with problem solving, decision making, conflict resolution and strategic thinking skills. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to foster connections with stakeholders including chefs, outlet GMs, operations higher management and agency partners
  • Experience planning and executing annual marketing and PR calendars
  • Proficient at evaluating the competition's activations and marketing communications and implements change as dictated by market requirements
  • Excellent writing, presentation and communications skills, with a strong sense of quality and a creative mindset
  • Experience planning and managing photo and video shoots (commercial and social media)
  • Knowledge of creative, photography and videography composition and structure with a keen eye for aesthetic
  • Media relations experience – capable of being a well-spoken brand ambassador with key media and opinion leader contacts
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus, especially English and Arabic

Key Functional skills

  • Exceptional creative and artistic abilities, with a strong understanding of color theory, typography, layout design, and composition
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to connect with peers and inspire operational departments to create story-telling rich experiences to support F&B communication goals
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is highly preferred
