Job Purpose
Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the planning, analysis, and reporting functions of SOPC's procurement operations. The Director ensures that procurement activities align with the organization's strategic goals, budgetary priorities, and compliance requirements. develops procurement forecasts, and ensures transparency and efficiency in procurement reporting and performance management.

Job Specific Accountabilities
Procurement Planning & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual and long-term procurement planning process in coordination with all business units.
  • Develop accurate forecasts and spend analysis reports to support budget planning and financial control.
  • Align procurement plans with project timelines, operational needs, and funding availability.

Procurement Performance & Reporting

  • Establish and manage performance dashboards and regular reports on procurement metrics, supplier performance, and category spend.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve cost efficiency, supplier management, and procurement effectiveness.
  • Ensure timely submission of performance and compliance reports to management and relevant stakeholders.

Data Analysis & Systems Management

  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of procurement data within SAP or related ERP systems.
  • Develop reporting templates and standardized tools for consistent performance tracking.

Stakeholder Engagement & Collaboration

  • Collaborate with Finance, Projects, and other departments to ensure procurement alignment with operational priorities.
  • Support internal stakeholders with procurement planning insights and ensure communication of timelines and expectations.
  • Represent Procurement in cross-functional committees and meetings as required.
