Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for the Director of Zakat and Taxes, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Director will oversee Zakat and tax compliance, ensure adherence to relevant regulations, and provide expert guidance on tax-related matters. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and implementing tax strategies, managing corporate tax affairs, preparing reports, and liaising with government authorities regarding tax and Zakat matters. The role also involves leading a team, conducting audits, and staying updated on tax laws and practices to provide sound recommendations to drive financial compliance and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Tax Compliance, Tax Preparation, and Tax-related procedures
  • Strong knowledge of Tax, Tax Law, and regulatory frameworks
  • Proficiency in Accounting principles and financial management
  • Proven leadership and organizational skills to lead a team and oversee compliance processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a master's degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPA, CMA, CA) is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with an eye for detail
  • Experience working with Zakat and taxation in Saudi Arabia is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders and government authorities
  • Familiarity with updated tax regulations and policies, both local and global
